Client Testimonials

“I delayed writing this testimonial until the pictures from my son’s wedding arrived. For the first time in well over twenty years there I was with a full natural smile, teeth showing.  For the last several months since the procedure I have been able to speak in public and socialize freely with out being constantly concerned about smiling too broadly, showing gaps in my smile from missing teeth. I have also been able to eat without pain, chewing freely without fear of a loose denture and poor digestion. I come from a family with a long history of bad teeth, bad bone structure and that combined with the fear of dentists lead to many of many dental problems. I have never been as comfortable going to a Dentist as I have been with Dr. McAnally!! The comfort begins with his support staff and extends to Dr. McAnally and his dental team. The staff is very supportive, understanding and listened to my needs and fears. The dental Procedures are explained step by step with no surprises, which was important to me. The quality of care is excellent. The dental procedure was extensive and yet remarkably free from pain. The sedation provided was truly amazing, the procedures went flawlessly and the follow-up dental care has been terrific!

In summary I would recommend Dr. McAnally with out hesitation to anyone needing extensive Dental procedures. The care I have received has been nothing short of Amazing and I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Dr. McAnally and his entire Staff!”

“My Success story goes something like this. At the age of 9 years old I stopped smiling. I was teased by other children and by my own siblings all my childhood.  I decided that no one would get the opportunity to make fun of me anymore so I stopped smiling. As I grew older not having a smile hindered me from many opportunities for personal growth.  Low self esteem became my greatest enemy due to my fear of smiling. What would people think of me whenever they looked at me and saw my crocked and discolored teeth was all I could think about.  For many years I sought out many dental professionals for help only to walk away feelings hopeless.  Most dental professional would reprimand me saying “I was at fault for the condition of my teeth”. But somehow through all the years of hearing that I kept hope alive deep within my heart. I dreamed   that someday I would posses a beautiful smile and I would be able to speak eloquently without fearing that someone would be looking at my teeth and judging me.

June of 2006, I had a date with destiny. I met Dr. McAnally and his staff for a free consult. Then I quickly scheduled a second appointment to hear the findings of my first appointment and whether there was something that could be done for me. Dr. McAnally informed me that I would be a good candidate for dental implants. Needless to say I felt overjoyed finally I could see a dream long awaited for coming true.

On January 3, 2007 Dr. McAnally and his kind staff unveiled my new smile. My self esteem soared through the roof. I have confidence that I never had before. I feel I can finally reach and attain my life goals. Dr. McAnally I thank you and your staff for making me feel special through all the visits, Surgery and finally my new smile. I’m forever grateful to all of you!

Sincerely…………Annette Brown ~ Harbor View Hospital- Children’s Care dept.

Let me tell you how the process of going from an upper denture and a few lower working teeth with a partial went for me. Every few years or so I would have a lower tooth flare up on me and give me really bad tooth aches. Where my tooth would hurt for days and keep me up at night. Sometimes it would even swell up and as a Chiropractor myself you can imagine how bad that looks to my own patients. I knew after years of neglect that it was time to start taking care of my dental health. So I searched the web and found Dr. McAnally’s office. After my initial visit I knew this was the place for me.

After my first and only big surgery I was sore for a couple of days, but I had pain pills to take care of that. It was on a Thursday and I was back to work functioning fine by the following Monday! That was great to not have to miss any work. Plus I haven’t been in any pain the last two months with these temporary denture healing teeth. I never realized what a thorn my teeth used to be and how they were affecting my life in a negative way. I was always in pain. For the last 30 years I‘ve been dealing with constant pain and infection in my body from my teeth. It amazing how much better my body has felt since I got my old infected teeth out of my body. I sleep better, don’t have ear aches anymore and my appetite is up! I’m just so much happier in general.  I never realized how big of an impact my teeth could have on my happiness in life!

“This is my story and how it begins with fillings, crowns, bridges, unable to eat certain foods and a limited smile.  Finally, I realized it was time to decide between dentures or implants.  After a great deal of thought, dentures were not the solution.

I obtained all the information I could on implants and implant procedures.  One day I received an advertisement in the mail from Dr. McAnally.  I waited several days before making my appointment.  The receptionist gave me a warm welcome.  I found the reception room and dental rooms very neat and clean.  Dr. McAnally was pleasant and explained in full detail about the procedure.  I have my implants now.  My smile is back and I am able to eat a variety of foods.  Dr. McAnally and the staff were wonderful and patient throughout the procedure.”

Richard S ~ Implant and Sedation Dentistry Patient, Seattle Retiree

“Based on previous experiences at other dental offices over the years, I found that even minor surgery was always very painful afterwards.  My surgery was pretty serious that Dr. McAnally had to perform but I was AMAZED at how comfortable I was after my surgery.  I was virtually pain-free, and I don’t remember a thing, unbelievable!”

Al Foucault ~ Implant and Sedation Patient, Seattle School Teacher

“I’ve only had my implants for 2 weeks and I can eat all the foods I want again!  I don’t even want to think about how bad things were before.  I can smile again.  My life has been changed.”

Rick Petersen ~ Sedation and Implant Dentistry Patient, Seattle Insurance Underwriter

“Due to many years of not having dental insurance and not doing the best at oral care, my teeth had become embarrassing to me.  The front two overlapped, some were missing, and I was seemingly always having some sort of abscess or other oral issues.

I decided to get proactive about my dental health and was looking for a dentist who could provide solutions to my problems.  I came to Dr. McAnally for a consultation. He offered it for free and it was very thorough.  Dr. McAnally made me feel comfortable, I could feel his compassion about his profession and I knew I could trust him to take care of me.

The solution was to be fitted with implanted teeth.  It started with the extraction of my poorest teeth (leaving me with 7 of my own natural teeth) and I was immediately fitted with a denture to use while my mouth healed.  The drugs used for this first procedure were completely effective at numbing the pain senses and I was back at work in 4 days.  At this stage it was very nice to have a mouth full of teeth that could actually grind and chew food and the fact that I could smile without embarrassment.

The next steps were equally pain free; Dr. McAnally and his staff always provided me with the     best of care and treatment.  Now that my implant dental work is complete, I will continue to see Dr. McAnally and his team to provide my regular dental care.

Don Sinclair ~ Sedation and Implant Dentistry Patient, Banker

“Because I have a full mouth of teeth now, I’m not afraid to smile. I’ve received so many compliments on the brightness of my smile.  I feel much better about myself.”

Terry Sparks ~ Implant & Sedation Dentistry and Cosmetic Denture Patient, West Seattle Retiree

“I was always surprised at how quick the visits went by even though when I woke up I realized that I had been in the office for a couple of hours.  My lower teeth are rock solid. Dr.McAnally’s procedures can give you better teeth then you ever had naturally!  I would never go back to a denture!”

Paul Smith ~ Sedation and Implant Patient, Seattle Retiree Ex-Military

“I have been visiting the dentist chair for most of my life.  When I was born, it was discovered that I had virtually little to no enamel coating on my teeth for protection against decay and breakage.  I was one of twelve children from an upper middle class family.  However, dental plans did not cover much, if any, major dental procedures.  The seriousness of my condition was, unfortunately, not really recognized until the extent of damage was way out of control.

In my early twenties, I was involved in a major auto accident which split my face wide open and literally knocked out most of my teeth.  My course of dental treatment involved removing what remaining teeth were loose and re-implanting the teeth that I had fortunately kept after being knocked out.  Then, I received root canals, bridges, cavity fillings, braces temporarily – and ultimately my entire mouth of teeth being capped with white gold and then baked enamel.  The result was very satisfactory - initially.  However, the maintenance and upkeep was very intense, let alone expensive.  Over a period of less than ten years, despite my vigilant upkeep, the gum tissue recessed to the point of no repair and the bone deteriorated rapidly as well.  I felt that there were no affordable or effective solutions with any type of duration of stability.  I finally had to accept the inevitable and had to have all of my teeth removed (and get dentures).

I initially decided to go to Dr. McAnally for an exam and appraisal of my dentures and to find out price, aesthetic appeal (natural looking), and options available.  I was aware that the health of my mouth affected my over all health and well being.

I feel that I was provided with the latest state of the art technology and information at a reasonable cost overall, everything considered.  The utmost attention to every detail was attended to in a comfortable environment with a pleasant staff with a minimum of discomfort and pain.  The efforts to provide complete customer satisfaction in every way possible are the reasons that I continue aftercare with this clinic.  I would refer anyone to Dr. McAnally that is willing to seriously address their dental needs rather than just get by for the moment.

Time, of course, will tell the true attributes of my treatment.  I was never led to believe that anything was a sure remedy or solution.  As a result of my experience, I walked away with a beautiful smile for the first time in over a decade.  I am now able to eat most any type of food very comfortably.  With the implants, my teeth don’t move around anymore.  The natural, “not uniform,” appearance of my new teeth make them look as real as possible, rather than draw attention and “scream fake.”

Thank you for convincing me to take the first step and follow through.”

Dan Leptic ~ Implant & Sedation Dentistry Patient, Business Owner

“I don’t remember the surgery at all.  It was great.

When I came for the appointment to preview and evaluate the look of my final dentures, even the wax dentures felt fine.  When the real ones came in they felt great!  It was nothing like the old dentures which caused sore spots and didn’t fit well.  They look great and my family loves them, and so do I.  I wish I would have done it sooner.  I recommend Dr. McAnally to anyone needing implants.”

Stanley Yantis ~ Retiree, Geneva, Implant and Sedation patient

“Clear communication is everything – I got very specific, clear information from Dr. McAnally upfront, with no surprises or hidden charges.  I am very happy with my decision to go through with treatment at Dr. McAnally’s office; I know I made the right choice. I even earned enough frequent flyer miles for a free vacation to Hawaii out of it by paying in full on my credit card! ”

Jerry Bohannon ~ Financial Services, Seattle

“I got my first set of dentures when I was 21yrs old. My teeth were always soft and on top of that, I loved my sweets! I never was really good at brushing my teeth either. Then over the years I’ve had 5 sets of dentures made because every few years they would get loose on me as my bone structure was shrinking, and they no longer stayed in place. I never liked the look of my denture teeth either. They were very fake looking and I was always covering up my smile because I felt it didn’t fit me. Then when I came to see Dr. McAnally he made me a GENEVA set of dentures with real porcelain teeth in the front. They looked really natural and fit great!! I didn’t have any sore spots at all! His attention to detail really paid off in the end. Thank you Dr. McAnally and staff for helping me get through the process painlessly!”

Joan Sodergren ~ Retiree, Olympia

“When I first came to Dr.McAnally’s office I was so embarrassed I didn’t even want to let the dentist see my teeth let alone anyone in my life or the public. I was wearing a horrible upper denture plate and missing my front bottom teeth. It was really affecting my social life, I started noticing how I would just go to work and come home and decline all invitations to dinner or any social events. And I never smiled. It was a lonely way to live and one day I just said I’ve had enough it’s time to do something about my bad teeth.  Dr.McAnally and his assistant Melissa were great at making the process a comfortable thing for me to go through physically and emotionally. They didn’t beat me up for letting my teeth get that bad and helped me focus on my future not my past actions. I’m really happy that I decided to make the investment in my teeth and my life. I would recommend anyone in my similar situation to see what Dr. McAnally can do for them!”    Lubelia Davisson

“I saw a newspaper add that Dr. McAnally had in the Seattle times and I thought to myself, if there is a dentist that can help me- it’s him! Before I went in to see him I was having terrible headaches and ear aches for 20 plus years. I thought that was just the way it had to be, Painful. I didn’t know that all my pain was coming from my ill fitting dentures.  I was desperate for a solution and I found it thanks to the help of Dr. McAnally. My headaches are completely gone and I have a beautiful new youthful smile again. I’m so happy I can’t stop smiling. I had almost no problem adjusting to my new implant supported teeth. My speech was great and I was eating roast beef again one week after I got my new teeth. I’m so happy!”

 Jean Chevalier ~ Retiree

“Here’s my story:  I had to have all my top teeth taken out when I was 25 years old and have been struggling with a full upper denture ever since. I also had a partial on the bottom that I absolutely hated and hurt me to wear. I only wore it at work or when I was in public. As soon as I got home I would take it out. Besides hurting my mouth, the denture also gave me bad headaches all the time.  My care at Dr. McAnally’s didn’t hurt as much as I thought it might. After the first and only surgery I was sore for a few days but it wasn’t bad at all.

I just love my new teeth. They work just like real teeth, they are awesome. I can eat salads, fruits and veggies again and actually taste my food! It’s great. Plus my headaches are gone and my family has also noticed how much more happy I am since I had this done! I get compliments all the time on my teeth; people can’t even tell they aren’t real.   Thanks to Dr. McAnally and his staff for making the process as smooth as possible for me!”   Penny Roberts ~ Waitress--Puyallup

I’ve had my new teeth for a couple weeks now and I just love how I can chew through any food I desire. Before I had this procedure done I was missing all my front teeth and wearing a bulky partial with metal hooks.  I was living with headaches, TMJ problems, my jaw locking open and muscle spasms for decades. Now my TMJ problems are all but gone. Not to mention the bonus fact that I have a beautiful new smile. My original teeth were never even this nice. That’s proof of how good Dr.McAnally is at creating new smiles!  Amber and Melissa also made going through this process as easy as possible for me and were always there to answer any questions that I had along the way. Plus all the pre and post operative forms that they gave me were right on the money in telling me what to expect throughout my treatment timeline. My partner and I are so very pleased that we decided to go through with care here at Dr.McAnally’s office.

Ryan Blackhawke ~ Dental disaster Implant and Sedation Dentistry Patient--Bothell

“I have been through a lot of dental work in my 50 some years. I finally decided after only having 6 teeth left in my mouth that I needed to seek a more permanent solution, so I seek out on the internet and found Dr. McAnally. I talked it over with my husband and I decided to make the appointment. I was very pleased after my first visit with him. I started this process in November and now it is May and I have my teeth and I’m so happy that I made the decision to have this type of treatment done. It was actually the expense that I was more nervous about spending then the Surgery or treatment itself!  We pooled everything together to make it happen and now I am so happy with my smile for the first time in my life.

Thank you so much, Cindy Hardy ~ Retiree---Arizona

The Dentist has definitely never been a place I look forward to going to. But I must say that my whole experience at Dr. McAnally’s office went super smooth and anxiety free from the first consultation to the final appt when I got my new smile. I never felt nervous at their office because the Dental assistant Melissa explained all I needed to know about the steps and what was going to happen at my appointments. So there was nothing for me to worry or get stressed about. They gave me a pill before hand that made me kind of sleepy then laughing gas when I got to their office and I slept right through my major procedure of putting the implants in! It all went really great and I’m very happy with my new smile!

Rob ~ Cosmetic, Implant and Sedation Patient~ Seattle

Dr. McAnally’s team made the entire process very easy from start to finish. Dr. McAnally began with a written summary and visual presentation of my current dental situation and my treatment options available at his office. Everything went according to the original presented plan that I choose. When I was going through the procedures the very supportive staff explained all the steps of my care so I always felt included in my treatment and knew what the next step involved. That alone alleviated my anxiety about the appointments.   I am very happy with the looks of the result and I can eat anything I want! It shows that Dr. McAnally really cares about his patients, and the end result!!

Bob Travis ~ Seattle, Implant and Sedation Patient

“Thank you Dr. McAnally, Melissa, Angela and Amber for all your care, support and encouragement through every step of the way towards my new mouth. I was made to feel very comfortable and pampered even from the initial visit and never had any apprehension in choosing which options and treatments that were best for me as laid out in the detailed reports.

It was very satisfactory to have all the information involved in the planning and execution of the various procedures to achieve the final goal. It was amazing how little discomfort I felt at any time and it is a joy to be able to bite, chew and taste properly again! I have given my new implants a good workout, and so far, have not found one item to be a problem!

All your painstaking detailed steps have really paid off for me- Thank You Dr.McAnally!”

Simone Studer ~ Seattle Area Implant and Sedation Patient

Living with my Dentures was embarrassing and the Glue would always come undone. A couple of times in the middle of dinner at a Classy Restaurant! It was very annoying. I couldn’t eat very well if at all, I had a very tough time with my Dentures. At Dr. McAnally’s I always knew what to expect because they explained things very well in terms that even I could understand! The procedures that I had done went outstandingly well and Dr. McAnally’s assistant Melissa does a great job and always makes you feel comfortable. I healed up very fast after the surgery. I was looking for a better quality of life beyond my dentures and Dr. McAnally and his staff helped me achieve it!! I feel so confident now all the time and I’m never unsure if my teeth with fall down anymore! I have absolutely no regrets and would recommend anyone thinking of doing this to go for it! It changed my life for the better. All my Thanks go to Dr. McAnally and his great staff!!
Don Liberty ~ Retiree

“I can chew gum again!”, and that’s not even the best part of my new life with secure teeth again, thanks to dental implants. I can feel the roof of my mouth again after years of wearing a full denture plate on my upper. I absolutely hated dealing with using glue to hold in my upper teeth and not being able to eat real solid foods and taste the flavors of what I could manage to eat.  It was awful and barbaric but I thought that was my only option out there once you lost your teeth. I was so embarrassed about not having any teeth that I never told my husband while we were dating and he still didn’t know up until I decided to get the help I needed from Dr.McAnally. Having secure teeth again is life changing and feels great! I feel like a normal person again after decades of misery in my denture.

Thanks Dr. McAnally for rescuing me!

Cathy Harvey ~ Retiree

“When I had my false teeth, there were a lot of foods I couldn’t eat like corn on the cob.  Now I can eat whatever I want like the implants are real teeth.  I don’t remember a thing from my surgery, it went well with not too much discomfort afterwards.  It was definitely worth it!!!  Thanks to Dr. McAnally, my teeth don’t fall out in the swimming pool anymore!”

Norm Bahl ~ Implant & Sedation patient, Heavy Machinery Operator

“Due to years of neglect and poor choices my teeth had become a major source of embarrassment.  I really didn’t like talking, and smiling was out of the question.  One day while reading the newspaper, I found an ad for people who are afraid of the dentist.  After calling the number and researching online, I mustered up enough courage to call and schedule an appointment; and that was the hardest part of my entire ordeal!  From my very first visit, Dr. McAnally and his staff made me feel comfortable and at ease.  My appointments were painless, in fact, I don’t remember anything!  Now, with my care being completed, I am able to speak, eat, and smile without a second thought.  I couldn’t be happier with the care that I received and the appearance of my teeth.  Thank you Dr. McAnally for everything!  This has completely changed my life.”

Michael Edenfield ~ Implant & Sedation patient, Kent, WA

“After living with my denture for over 40yrs I finally reached a point where I knew that I had to do something. If there was any possible way to rid this annoyance from my life I was willing to do it.  I felt so relieved when Dr. McAnally gave me my options and the plan was in place to get treatment started.  Dr. McAnally and his staff were very cordial, and supportive every step of the way; the work its self was as painless as possible.  In fact, only part of my surgery I remember is checking in and checking out.  Now I have my new teeth and a great smile.  When Dr. McAnally asked me what I have been eating since I got my new teeth, I jokingly replied that I eat “seafood” meaning I eat everything in sight!  I now confidently recommend Dr. McAnally to anyone wanting to eat and smile again. I have a new quality of life to look forward to!

Larry Karlovich ~ Consultant, Sedation Dentistry Patient

“Before I came to see Dr. McAnally my teeth were horrible.  I was living with a removable partial which limited my eating and effected many areas of my life.  Getting implants has been a very positive change for me.  I eat better, my health is better and I am confident with my smile.  I enjoy steak and apples which prior to my treatment was not an option.  The best part about it all was that I don’t even remember my surgery!  I would like to say to anyone considering treatment; don’t hesitate; just do it! It’s well worth it!”

Dennis Nelson ~ Implant & Sedation patient, Kent, WA

“When I made the initial call to Dr. McAnally’s office I was a bit nervous about the procedure, but was determined to get the work done I needed.   I had been working very hard and had saved my money for the right time and the right Dentist.   When I arrived at Dr. McAnally’s office, my teeth were disintegrating from decay and infection, just a mess!  Could not even bite into bread!  It was very hard to be interacting with the public and in my business that is a crucial part of keeping me successful!   Since my procedure… I have had many compliments and even a close friend of mine whom I hadn’t seen in years- could not quite pin what had changed about me, but was surprised by the change!”

“It is very nice to be able to smile again!  Eating again is a joy…and I am very happy to be able to tell anyone I can about Dr. McAnally and his procedures.  I do not remember the surgery and the end result is Wonderful! “

Peggy Anderson

Business Owner, Anacortes WA

Prior to coming to Dr. McAnally’s Office, my mouth was in impossible shape,  Eating:  not very well, Not comfortable, my appearance was different than the way I wanted to look,   wearing dentures since 1970-  @ 2007 – across the board…. It affected my life

My other experiences with dentists:  Military experience:  very painful, and there was no care and proper due diligence in the dentist’s choosing the correct dental work.…. I should have been able to keep my own teeth if they had done things properly.  After my military experience:  I had 3 different dentists which performed patch up work, and most of the dental work failed.   I was misinformed by how to care for myself.  My jaws had deteriorated both upper and lower, and the concern originally was that I did not have enough bone to support dental implants.  Had I been informed sooner in my life, I would have gotten the implants much sooner!   I thought I was beyond the point of no return.  My procedure, started with repairing both my upper and lower jaws to create a stronger base for the implants…    Then we moved on to the implants…. And Here we ARE!   My surgery experiences here at Dr. McAnally’s were easy, I just remember arriving and leaving and in my case we had several visits that required sedation appointments.

I am so happy and I could not be more confident about Dr. McAnally and his team.   I did my research on Dr. McAnally and I was impressed by his credentials and experience.

I have to say that as far as being a pleasurable experience, It surprisingly HAS BEEN- considering from where I started to where I am now…. I am completely satisfied with my ability to eat, my appearance and they way my New Teeth have affected my health.  I would be pleased to recommend Dr. McAnally to others who are suffering with ill fitting dentures and looking for implant options!

Russell Thorpe ~ Seattle, WA

When I arrived, the condition of my mouth was “Terrible” I had been promised by another dentist a lot of things that he simply was not able to accomplish. I was left with a mouth full or pain and it translated into everything I did, I was simply miserable! My prior dentist was simply not prepared to fix what was required to get my dental health back. I am very pleased with the results from my procedure here at Dr. McAnally’s Office. The day of surgery I was a little groggy and when I was helped out to my car- It was Dr. McAnally who was at my side! That is something that does not happen everywhere! My husband is very supportive and is quite happy with the end result! I think my teeth suit who I am and I have already recommended Dr. McAnally to others! Smiling is No Problem now!

Cho Schailey ~ Federal Way, WA

Before coming to Dr. McAnally’s office, I was missing a lot of teeth in the back of my mouth and it was a struggle to eat.  Very Hard to Smile – I was kind of self conscience about it.  My prior experiences with dentists were okay for repairs, but too many times they did not have a long term plan.  I wasn’t real confident in them, instead of fixing the teeth that were missing, they were insisting on pulling MORE teeth, with no discussion on how to replace them.  My new teeth are getting more comfortable all of the time!  My family has been very supportive, and the surgery was nothing that I can remember- very quick and easy.  I am very happy with the results, it has been a real plus- no more pain, no more problems at night.  If I ran into anyone who needed this type of surgery I would be Happy to Recommend Dr. McAnally to anyone!   Smiling is no longer an issue and my diet is back on track, I have lost weight and it has helped with my diabetes too!

My gums were receding ongoing and my teeth were in very poor condition. My life was held back without being able to smile. My eating was a struggle because I had to start favoring the sides of my mouth to chew. I avoided dentists after leaving Japan. After moving to the United States I came to the point of realizing that it was time to take care of myself- I do not remember a thing from the surgery, and I have already spread the word about the success of my treatment. I am ECSTATIC!!!! I feel 10 years younger! Dr. McAnally’s treatment has changed my life- my work is in the public and now I am able to smile all of the time!

Prior to coming to Dr. McAnally’s office, my mouth was a not in good shape at all! I was missing many teeth on both sides of my mouth. When I didn’t have my partials in, I would be forced to eat like a rabbit! I stopped smiling and I only would see dentists in the past on the spurring of my wife and when I did go, I did not feel comfortable at all. The day of my surgery, I remember walking in …. And then the next thing I remember was Dr. McAnally saying, “That is it!” As a result of my surgery, my confidence is back, I can eat steak once again and I can smile! My experience has remained positive across the board. Entering the office to this day, it is a pleasure! I would be and have been happy to recommend Dr. McAnally to all that need to have this type of treatment.

Before I came to Dr. McAnally’s office, I had only 15 natural teeth left, I wasn’t in any pain or anything it just that due to my Advanced Periodontal Disease. My Periodontist had told me “You might want start thinking about Dentures” and I Thought : “NO Way!” I had my fingers crossed, for implants but I was told, that I was not a candidate for it…due to the lack of bone structure. I waited about 3-4 years and I hoped that technology would catch up. I wish I had come in sooner- had I known it was possible! Although I am very athletic and otherwise healthy, I was very depressed that I was unable to eat the carrots, apples or anything that took solid chewing. Socially, the missing teeth affected my smile and made me uncomfortable. My surgery went smoothly and I do not remember much about the actual surgeries. My new Teeth, “I LOVE THEM!” It is wonderful to eat whatever you want and not have limitations. I am so glad I had the procedure completed! My new teeth look so appropriate to my face and I no longer worry about Smiling! My friends and co-workers can’t quite tell what is different, but I know! Anyone who even has a thought about getting implants should DO IT! I would be happy to recommend Dr. McAnally!

 Stories From Our Patients

“I had trouble with my teeth due to not taking the best care of them.  Also, my gums were tender and bled often.  Dr. McAnally and staff took the time from day one to explain to me what was needed, how long it would take, and what it would cost.  We had a couple situations where the damage to my teeth was worse than anticipated and Dr. McAnally explained to me what we would need to do.  I feel I have gotten my money’s worth and am saving money because after I have a procedure done it is back to prevention and gum care and keeping my oral health good.

What I have appreciated most about Dr. McAnally is his patience and continual emphasis on education and prevention.  He takes time to make sure I understand what he is doing, why he is doing it, and what follow-up care will entail.

I was always comfortable during my procedure.  Right now, I am more pleased with my smile and my overall dental health than I ever thought possible.  What I love about the continuing care at Dr. McAnally’s is how professional everyone is and how friendly.  If I knew of someone to be helped I’d urge them to try Dr. McAnally--- I’m glad I did!”

Geri Henling ~ General Care Patient, Seattle Housewife and mother of 6

“For the first time in twenty years, I am comfortable enough to be in family photos.  Before I always volunteered to take the photo since I was so embarrassed about my teeth.  Now my teeth look so great everyone thinks they are real, Thanks Dr. McAnally!”

Diana Jackson ~Sedation and Cosmetic Denture Patient, Seattle Consultant

“I basically couldn’t smile and was embarrassed with the way my teeth were.  Now with my implants and cosmetic teeth I’m smiling and getting my social confidence back.  My dating life has improved too!”

“My treatment seemed simple to me even though I know it was complex.  I was one of those patients that were fearful beyond belief but Dr. McAnally’s sedation techniques took care of all of that.  I went back to work very quickly and without any pain.  Things turned out the way I expected including with how Dr. McAnally worked with my personal time frame and without any disruption with my family.  I would recommend Dr. McAnally’s implant care to anyone considering it.  Going into it with a positive attitude really helps as well.”

Ellen Monrad ~ Sedation and Implant Dentistry Patient, Eagle Scout Mom

“Having moved to Seattle from the Midwest 5 years ago, at the age of 77, I looked for dental care in Seattle to continue and maintain the excellent dental care I had previously received during my entire adult years. Dr. McAnally was recommended to me as a Dentist who is highly qualified through his professional training and whose technical skills are superb.  Dr. McAnally demonstrates a great deal of experience in the dental procedures he provides with no hesitation in explanation of the procedure he may be performing.  In my visits to his office, I am led to believe that he is continually involved in perfecting his skills through advanced professional training.  During a visit, the entire office staff makes an effort to make patients feel comfortable. I have been very pleased with the dental services I have received and I highly recommend Dr. McAnally and his staff to persons my age that may need dental care.”

Geraldine Wallace ~ General care patient, Seattle retire

“I have come to Dr. McAnally’s office somewhat by surprise.  He’s the fourth dentist to occupy a physical space; we first began by carefully selecting the first, then flowed on the subsequent practitioners.  Having said that, I’ll add that I could not be more satisfied with the care I am receiving.  He’s taken care of all 4 children into their adulthood as well.

Dr. McAnally, his staff, and his work are exceptional.  He brings all of the training he’s received, the family attitude toward dentistry that’s been his legacy, and all of the ongoing current advances in the field from his position within the U of W graduate dental work.  Newest technology, pain-free techniques, curiosity and love of people all come together here.  Thank you!”

Judy Pigott ~ Neuromuscular and General Care Patient, Seattle Philanthropist

“I was having jaw joint problems with headache.  It (Dr. McAnally’s treatment) was a dramatic improvement.  My jaw used to lock up and now I have no problems.”

Troy Shearer ~ TMJ Patient, Seattle Computer Programmer

“My orthodontic care was a quick and efficient way to realign my bite.”

Karen Marcott ~ Seattle Mom, Orthodontic Patient

“When I first saw my dentist with my five hopeless teeth, I was certain that there would be no option other than dentures.  Next best would seem to be extensive bridgework.  I was pleased and enthusiastic at the possibility of implants.

The best help was Dr. McAnally’s careful explanation of the future work.  At the time it was all hard to imagine.  However, as the work progressed it was systematic and obvious.  One of the most interesting parts of the adventure was to see the actual plaster molds of my jaw with all the new work in place. Now the implants have been well used and admired for seven years.  I am now 75 years old with 20+ years of Diabetes, so an ok was needed from my M.D.  All went well during and after the procedure.  I observe that Dr. McAnally has fine dental skills, also people skills.  Beside these qualities, he has the artistic skills of Michelangelo and the craftsmanship of Paul Revere.

I am proud and pleased to recommend Dr. McAnally’s work in general to anyone.”

Ruth Yantis ~ Implant & Sedation Dentistry Patient, Seattle Retiree

“It is virtually painless (in fact, I often doze in the chair while they work on my teeth).  I have a quick recovery time and have never had problems afterwards.”

Martha Polimenikos ~ General Care Patient, Seattle Retiree

“My headaches are gone.  Thanks a million.”

Patricia Anderson ~ Neuromuscular Dentistry Patient, Seattle Computer Consultant

“Coming from teaching at the U.W., I was getting the best care possible.  I know I get the most modern and advanced dentistry at QA Advanced Dentistry.  I have complete confidence.  Dr. McAnally explained things clearly and gave me plenty of his time.  I’d highly recommend him to anyone out there looking for a dentist.  I’m very satisfied with the dental care I have received.”

James ~ General Care Patient, Seattle Retiree

“It was great.  Other than the cost, it was a flawless experience.  I like Dr. McAnally because he is gentle but yet thorough.  My implant is fine and chewing is no problem.”

Brian ~ Implant Dentistry Care Patient, Seattle Furniture designer

“It was very fine being sedated.  I couldn’t remember most of my appointment, just spots.  It was very comfortable.”

Carla Kotila ~ Sedation Dentistry Patient, Seattle Mom

“It really hasn’t been difficult.  I don’t remember a thing.  There was initial discomfort and at times, but mostly hasn’t been a difficult process.”

Donna Holbrook ~ Implant and Sedation Dentistry Patient, Oregon Retiree

“For me it was the only thing that worked.  I don’t remember getting in the chair at all.  What would normally have taken two appointments, we got done in one.”

Al Chandler ~ Sedation Dentistry Patient, Seattle Manufacturer

“Angela (the Dental Hygienist) is kind and pleasant and thorough.  She does great patient education.  It is a very convenient location.  Dr. McAnally and Melissa (the Dental Assistant) were really nice when I had my root canal done. They made a difficult situation easy to go through.  Amber (the Patient Care Coordinator) is also great and sets a nice tone.”

Anne ~ General Care Patient, Seattle Research Analyst

“I’m glad I had the medication!  When I was nervous, I kept telling myself that this is what they are here for as medical professionals.  They respected the fact that, for fearful patients, it is important to have a steady step-by-step process for optimum relaxation and success.  Melissa (the Dental Assistant) is a great assistant who put me at ease and answered all my questions.”

Lynn Milligan ~ Sedation Dentistry, Seattle Volunteer

“The crown was professionally handled with minimum pain.  I was leaving for Mexico, so they used super-heavy duty cement and worked if off when I got back.  It was an emergency visit in the beginning and I didn’t have an appointment.  Dr. McAnally squeezed me in on his lunch hour.  He has a great bedside manner.  My partner has severe dental fear and waits until things are a disaster.  We are coming here to get it taken care of because he can be sedated and is comfortable.  Dr. McAnally is great.”

Jeff Bond-Brickey ~ General Care Patient, Seattle Interior Designer

“I was amazed at how easy it was.  It ached a little that night after surgery but beyond that there was no pain – the very opposite of what I imagined.  Cost is an issue for me, as it is with a lot of people.  I am willing to forgo going somewhere else just to save a little more or have better insurance coverage.  My comfort and the quality of the work is the most important.  Considering my caliber of teeth, I know I am going to need more work.  I will definitely do it here.  I was amazed at how easy it was. I will definitely do it here.”

“When I first came here I was a “white-knuckler.”  They had to give me shots and topical for cleanings and I gripped the chair the whole time.  Now, I come in voluntarily because the service is great and my schedule is accommodated. Dr. McAnally fixed a broken tooth that another D.D.S. was not able to.  I really appreciate the technology and I feel calm when I leave!”

Jenny ~ General Care Patient, Seattle Pharmacist

“I am always impressed with the technology here.  One time I had a huge problem in which he referred me out because he did not think he could do it all himself.  I like the low turn over in staff – which is a rarity.  I, also, like the availability if I have an emergency.  I know I am getting quality service because of his vast education and the improving technology.  You get what you pay for.”

Deborah Cochelin ~ General Care Patient, Seattle Lawyer

“You’re so good at giving injections – I didn’t feel a thing”

Deborah Ashcraft ~ General Care Patient, CEO Executive Assistant

“It has been a positive experience.  The teeth cleanings are always good.  I appreciate the reminder postcards.  The temporary on my implant held up very nicely.  I am very happy with the care here.”

Shela Hadi-Knaus ~ Implant & Sedation Patient

“I am thrilled about this place! I reached a point where it was implants or it was soup everyday (and I hated the thought of that).  My implants are perfect for me.  I can eat whatever I want.  Dr. McAnally does a great job and I couldn’t be happier.  It was worth driving from Vashon to for each appointment.”

Lowell Reistad ~ San Juan Island retiree, Implant and Sedation Patient

“Nothing was bad at all.  It was a very good experience.  I was very comfortable the entire time with very little discomfort.  The results are great.  The bottom fits so much better than the old one.  The entire staff was and is very professional.

Painless dentistry!  I would recommend Dr. McAnally to anyone who needs implants.”

Paul ~Retiree, Implant and Sedation patient

“I am delighted that my dental condition has stabilized and my treatment has reversed some of my condition.  I was having a lot of tooth discomfort and Dr. McAnally thought it was all related to my jaw issues.  The discomfort is totally gone now.  The orthotic mouth guard is not uncomfortable to wear at all, unlike previous guards were.  The orthotic mouth guard was expensive – but worth it.”

Marilyn Severson~ College Professor, TMJ and General Care patient

“He did a great job.  With the injection, I didn’t feel a thing.  It was pretty comfortable and it wasn’t at all frightening.”

Joseph Abolafia ~ Business owner, General Care patient

“He gets my recommendation for painless dentistry.  He has my vote!  I hardly felt anything.  And during the rest of the appointment, I almost went to sleep.”

Priscilla Bradford ~ Retiree, General Care Patient

“I don’t know how you did it, but I had absolutely no pain after my (single) implant procedure yesterday, and I am VERY impressed.  Things have gone far better than I could have imagined.  I slept through the procedure and only had to take one pain people after surgery.  The healing process has been completely trouble free.  I’m really glad I chose to go through with my implants.  Thanks Dr. McAnally!”

            Len Quatrella ~ Seattle Teacher

“I’m so glad I found Dr. McAnally’s office! I’m afraid if I continued down the path I was heading I would have lost all my teeth eventually.  Dr. McAnally and his staff did a great job saving my dental health and it was better than I expected!

            Bill Wright ~ Maritime Supervisor

Dr. McAnally, I would like to thank you profusely for seeing me and accepting me as your patient.  For the first time in 49 years I felt compassion from a dentist; even at the (University of Washington) Dental Fear Clinic I felt like just another person who had not taken proper care of her teeth.  Needless to say, I never went into the details as I did with you.  If only I could have found you earlier I feel you would not have just pulled my teeth because it was the cheapest thing to do; I truly believe you could make a difference in my life.  You care about the person.”

Mary Snow ~ Pet Business Owner, Seattle

“My natural teeth had been a source of embarrassment and pain for many years.  The embarrassment was difficult enough to deal with but the pain was excruciating at times.  I will never forget waking up in early 2002 and discovering that several of the crowns in the front were loose.  My biggest fear was having my teeth fall out while talking.  I carried a mirror in my purse so I could check my teeth several times a day to make sure they were all there.  I couldn’t smile, as much as I wanted because I was afraid people would see my teeth - or lack of teeth. During this time, I consistently made excuses for avoiding social situations, especially those that involved eating.  I became known as the person taking all the pictures instead of being in them. I couldn’t smile lest my teeth show and be recorded in family albums for all to see.  At Dr. McAnally’s office, I had many questions and all were answered completely and to my satisfaction.  The surgery was scheduled and after years of avoidance, I was actually looking forward to starting the process.  I was given medication to take both before and after surgery so I felt ready to deal with the pain.  Immediately after arriving home, I took the pain medication as prescribed and then proceeded to sleep for several hours.  Upon waking there was no pain and I did not need any additional medication.  I immediately ran to the mirror and was completely surprised.  The healing teeth looked great and I was ready to face the world with a smile.  My happiness this past year has increased a hundred folds as years of stress have been lifted from my life.  I also have started appearing in family photos after a thirty-year absence.   My story would not be complete without giving complete credit and thanks to Dr. McAnally and his staff.  From my initial phone call last year to this point, I have experienced quality care from all members of his team at each and every appointment.  All procedures are performed in the office, which not only is comforting for fearful patients but also scheduling and travel hassles are eliminated.  I am told in advance how long each appointment will take and in all cases, the time commitment has been met.  This certainly makes it easy when scheduling around work and family obligations.  The office is meticulously clean and free of loud noises.  One gets the feeling of peacefulness, which reduced my stress.  I will forever be grateful for finding Dr. McAnally and entrusting my dental needs to his care.  His expertise, professionalism, and sense of humor have taken me from hopelessness to happiness over this past year.  Melissa and Amber are integral parts of his team as they helped guide me through procedures, appointments, and insurance claims.  They empathized with me at the beginning when I was full of fear and now rejoice in my success as I near the end of treatment.”
